Almost 2000 years ago a wind the earth never saw before blew through a room where 120 people sat seeking what the church would be. That wind changed the planet forever.

For 2000 years the currents and eddies from that wind have changed history, influenced events, and prepared the way. It has blown swift and steady in the hearts and lives of those that desired God and his word.

Now, as I sit here in the Eastern Time Zone of the United States in the wee small hours of the morning of August 29th, 2017, I’m telling you that, for the first time in 2,000 years, that wind has shifted.

The Southern Baptist Convention has convened a meeting with a group of hand-chosen leaders. They are discussing what has gone wrong in the church and are trying to understand the structure of the church as it is and as it should be. Whether through plan or accident, there are 120 of them. This meeting will not end as they expected. This is the reason that I was at Center Point all of those years.

The wind has shifted. Can you feel it?

Firefighters often fear wind shifts when dealing with forest fires. It can fan the flames, cause them to jump rivers, and spread out of
control. This wind shift will do exactly that.

Men will no longer be able to control the fire. It will be beyond their control. This fire will burn to the edges of the earth and will bring men to faith. The kingdom of God is about to grow more explosively than it did in those days of Jerusalem.
